چکیده
The ultra wide band (UWB) Direct Chaotic Communication (DCC) technology is considered in application to low bit rate information transmission. Performances of low bit rate DCC are discussed. In particular we pay attention to the effect of multipath processing. The implementation and experimental verification of basic elements for low bit rates DCC are also presented. Index terms – Ultra wide band, UWB, chaotic communications, DCC, chaos generator, sensor networks, location.

Ultra Wideband Direct Chaotic Communications for IEEE 802.15.4a Standard
Ultra wideband communications based on chaotic signal is considered for low data rate, ranging application that is under standardization by the task group IEEE 802.15.4a. The current standard works are introduced and the proposed direct chaotic system is introduced. The PHY layer including transceiver, modem, and a ranging function are designed and implemented to realize a communication with lo...

Application of chaos in communications, in particular, wireless communications is actively investigated since 1990s [1–5]. Direct chaotic scheme of wireless communications employs chaotic radio pulses as information carriers. This scheme was proposed in 2000 [6–7]. At that time the first experiments were made with this scheme in 900–1000 MHz range. In 2001 investigation of UWB direct chaotic sy...

The U-slot micro-strip patch antennas were originally developed for bandwidth broadening applications. This study presents a transmission line feed to modify the U-slot stacked rectangular micro-strip patch antenna for Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) communications. The modified antenna has a U-cut loaded with parallel slits and corner slots and is printed on a dielectric substrate of FR4 with relative p...

Ultra-wideband technology uses baseband transmission of low-power ultra-short information-bearing impulses, and represents a promising approach for very-high speed wireless communications with multiple access, as well as for low-rate high-accuracy positioning systems. The first demonstrations of the huge potential of ultra-wideband were based on hypotheses of perfect power control and multiuser...
متن کاملCoding, Modulation, and Detection for Power-Efficient Low-Complexity Receivers in Impulse-Radio Ultra-Wideband Transmission Systems
Impulse-radio ultra-wideband (IR-UWB) is a promising transmission scheme, especially for short-range low-data-rate communications, as, e.g., in wireless-sensor networks. One of the main reasons for this is its potential to employ noncoherent, hence low-complexity, receivers even in dense multipath propagation scenarios, where channel estimation required for coherent detection would be overly co...
